Reno, Nev., May 20, 2019 —Nevada-based technology startup Lorable, which specializes in the development of choice-driven content software platforms, today announced that their firm had secured an additional $33K+ in pre-seed investment from the InNEVenture Fund.
Supported by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the Inneventure Fund provides proof-of-concept funding to early-stage Nevada companies believed to have commercialization potential.
Previous investment recipients include NPLuminescence, which develops point-of-care devices that diagnose bacterial-infectious and other diseases; Tahoe Clarity, a fine arts and documentation company which records water quality and the unique threats facing Lake Tahoe’s environment; and Rooftop Solar Power and Water Heating, which seeks to develop a new, more cost-effective device to capture solar energy toward electricity generation.
Lorable’s partners joined a slew of other Nevada companies at the inaugural Reno Venture conference, an Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN)-hosted event dedicated to driving further interest in investment into local startups through presentations, pitch competitions and networking events.
“This additional funding comes at a critical time for Lorable, as our team works tirelessly to perfect our platform and offer an agentive content experience for writers and readers unlike anything else on the market,” explained Evynn McFalls, Lorable CMO. “We are endlessly grateful to our investors at the InNEVenture Fund for believing in the possibilities of our company, and helping us to take the first steps of that journey.”
In the coming months, the Lorable team will seek to improve upon their flagship product and execute a writer-and-reader engagement campaign including commissioning Nevada writers to develop original content in order to drive traction ahead of a proposed September 2019 funding series.
The Lorable Platform is currently undergoing a public alpha test. The content editor can be accessed on the Lorable website, while the mobile application is available for download via Testflight for iOS, and via Google Play for Android users.
Lorable is a Nevada-based technology startup specializing in the development of interactive narrative software. This technology can be used to create “choice-based” literature that allows users to determine the course of a narrative through decision-making, to edit these narratives seamlessly, and to publish them widely—and has use cases not only for entertainment consumers but for business and educational environments as well.
